For which tasks (responsibilities)?

The producer will work with combat teams to facilitate coordination, solve problems, and ensure that every direction is working to its full potential.
The ideal candidate for the Game Producer role in the combat area should possess a strong background in game production, particularly within the horror survival genre. The candidate should have a deep understanding of combat mechanics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams. An ideal candidate would be passionate about delivering an immersive and terrifying gaming experience, with a keen eye for detail and a track record of successfully bringing complex combat elements to life in previous projects. Strong communication and leadership skills, coupled with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges, would make an ideal fit for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and managed combat teams, providing guidance, support, and leadership throughout the development process.

  • Deliver the vision set for the combat area, ensuring alignment with the overall game vision and goals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Drive the implementation of combat mechanics, ensuring they align with the creative direction and contribute to the overall immersive experience.

  • Oversee the entire combat development life cycle, from conceptualization to execution and final delivery.

  • Provide strategic input into the game design, particularly in relation to combat dynamics and player engagement.

  • Assess and address potential risks or challenges in combat development, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

  • Maintain effective communication with top management, providing updates on the progress of combat-related tasks.

  • Collaborate with other producers and leads to ensure coherence between combat elements and the broader game design.

  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of combat features, iterating as necessary to enhance player experience and satisfaction.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor games, and emerging technologies related to combat in video games.

  • Uphold a commitment to quality, ensuring that combat elements contribute to the overall success and critical acclaim of the horror survival game.

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • Experience in a production role or as a video game producer.

  • Demonstrated involvement in the full project life cycle and successful shipment of at least one game.

  • In-depth knowledge of the software development process, project management, and production processes.

  • Knowledge of the latest games and a broad gaming experience, especially horror survival titles.

  • Expertise in project management methodologies, including previous experience as a Scrum Master and familiarity with Kanban.

  • Skill in assessing, managing, and mitigating risks associated with game development projects.

  • Proven ability to drive projects to completion in a timely manner, even in the absence of direct authority and amidst multiple departmental dependencies.

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with different teams. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of the production process.

  • Languages: Advanced English. Ukrainian as a plus.


Pluses:

  • Previous experience as a combat game designer.

  • Previous experience as a combat producer.

  • Experience with the Unreal Engine.

  • Project Management certifications such as Agile, Scrum, Lean, Kanban, etc.

  • Expertise with project management development tools (MS Project, JIRA, MS Office, Shotgun, Asana, etc.).

  • Experience in developing games for multiple platforms: PlayStation, Xbox, PC.
